Elisabeth Schuh New MCH, Inc. Executive Director

The Board of Directors of MCH, Inc. is pleased to announce Liz Schuh as the new Executive Director. She will succeed Lee Karker. Mr. Karker is retiring after 22 years of community service with MCH, Inc. As Executive Director, Liz will be responsible for MCH Housing, MCH Support Services and MCH Nutrition programs, including Knox County Meals on Wheels. She brings seventeen years of senior level non-profit management to her new role, having served as both Housing Director and Finance Director at MCH. She earned Bachelors’ degrees in English and Business from Boston University and a Master of Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire College.

“Liz brings great depth of experience and knowledge of the MCH’s mission, staff, programs and financial operations to the organization. I have the highestconfidence in her ability to meet all challenges.” said outgoing director Lee Karker.

Asked how she feels about this opportunity, Liz said, “We have a strong team committed to MCH’s mission. I’m grateful to Lee for his years of capable leadership. It’s exciting to lead our work at this important time.”

Newly elected Board President Audrey Lovering said, “I know MCH’s service to the community has never been more vital and I look forward to working with Liz. She is the perfect person to lead the organization.”

MCH Housing owns and/or manages 4 affordable independent housing facilities with 133 apartments that are home to low-income elderly and disabled individuals: Methodist Conference Home, Rankin Center, Stevens House and Knox Hotel Apartments. MCH Support Services provides important quality-of-life essentials to residents like meals, housekeeping, laundry, and preventative health programs. 

MCH Nutrition provides resident meals in addition to MCH Meals on Wheels home-cooked, well-balanced meals Monday through Friday to people in need in every corner of Knox County.
