Coastal Trans provides non-emergency transportation in Knox, Lincoln and Sagadahoc counties and the towns of Brunswick and Harpswell. Services include general public transportation at affordable fares, transportation for clients referred by DHHS and limited free transportation for eligible low-income families.

An online and print directory profiling all the transportation options in Knox, Lincoln and Sagadahoc counties and Greater Brunswick. Find out about volunteer driver programs, carpools, taxis, non-emergency transport, ferries and other transportation geared toward older adults and people with disabilities.
Transportation Coupon Program
An innovative service enabling individuals with disabilities and seniors to schedule their own rides on local participating taxis. Approved applicants purchase coupon credits from MCH which enable them to ride taxis for 50 percent of the normal fare. Federal grants and local funding subsidizes the cost of these rides. Coupon credits can be used to go visit friends, go shopping, to the doctor, to religious services or where the rider wants to go.
- Any individual meeting the federal definition of having a disability; living in Knox, Lincoln, Sagadahoc counties or the
towns of Brunswick and Harpswell.
- Any individual over the age of 65 demonstrating a need for the service.
