KNOX COUNTY MEALS ON WHEELS
Knox County Meals on Wheels delivers hot, nutritious meals to the doorstep of older adults and disabled individuals enabling them to remain independent in their own homes. Our volunteer drivers provide daily contact for many seniors who otherwise would be cut off from the community. Approximately 100 meals are delivered five days a week throughout Knox county. MCH operates this federal program through a subcontract with Spectrum Generations, the local Area Agency on Aging.

Eligibility: Open to all home-bound seniors over 60 who reside in Knox County. Meals can be delivered on a long or short-term basis. There is a suggested donation of $3.50 a meal; however, no one is turned away regardless of their ability to pay. To be assessed for eligibility or to make a referral, contact MCH’s Food Services Director at 207-594-2740. Click to find out more.
