MCH, Inc. celebrated Knox County Meals on Wheels volunteers who donate their time and kindness delivering hot meals throughout the county five days a week.  The event took place at the Methodist Conference Home where the meals are prepared, on Thursday, April 28th.  It was an opportunity to thank those in attendance for their generosity.

Throughout the pandemic MCH, Inc. volunteers continued to deliver meals in a way that helped ensure safety for both the meal recipients and the volunteers.  The number rose from an average of 120 meals a day to over 180, now leveling off to approximately 140 meals a day.   The program is based on need, not income.  MCH partners with Spectrum Generations, the Area Agency on Aging that provides approximately one-third of the meal cost.  Financial support is also provided by United Midcoast Charities and other generous donors.
